Recycled Kraft or Cotton Wrapping Paper
Choose from a wide range of stylish kraft wrapping paper made from recycled kraft paper. My supplier screen print their designs by hand using water based inks. Water-based inks are much more gentle on the environment than plastisol ink as they use 100% biodegradable pigments.
I also use a luxurious range of wrapping paper handmade in India from recycled cotton. Cotton paper has a lovely texture and weight making it the perfect option for special occasions. An environmentally friendly option that does not compromise on luxury.
Recycled Ribbon and Non Plastic Double Sided Tape
A leading European yarn supplier are developing a line of ribbon woven with yarns made from 100% used plastic bottles. The yarn is certified 100% recycled and produces high quality ribbon.
Hi Tac double sided tape is solvent free, acid free and non toxic. The adhesive used is acrylic and non plastic, a less toxic option perfect for eco-friendly gift wrapping.
Dried or preserved flowers and foliage are the alternative I use for artificial embellishments. These are compostable embellishments are safe to dispose of in any garden waste recycling bin.
As more and more innovations are released the industry, this eco-friendly offering will continue to evolve. Keep checking back for how I am implementing the latest supplies and products to make my service more eco-friendly.
Bojagi is a traditional Korean cloth used for wrapping. It is made using various materials but typically the cloth is made from silk and ramie (fabric made from the stalk of a plant called Chinese Nettle).
Bojagi is a very eco-friendly way to gift wrap as only fabric is used (no sticky tape). The fabric can then be reused by the recipient. I use dried flowers, leaves or grasses to top the gift.
I create my own one-of-a-kind cloths. Clients can choose their own cloths from stock or request cloth to be made from specific patterns or fabrics.
